• Since the successful completion of the bench-mark testing (confirming the substantial reduction on fuel consumption) (see "TESTING") and hence the Naf-Tech Product already firmly established itself in the major commercial markets, the Company (Naf-Tech Energy (Pty) Limited) embarked on (inter alia) concluding an agreement with S.A.T.T.P.
(The South African Technology and Training Platform).

This association includes all six Universities of Technology in South Africa as well as The Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium), the  University of Eindhoven (The Netherlands) and the University of Aachen (Germany) (called "ELAt" – the Eindhoven – Leuven-Aachen triangle).

In doing this Naf-Tech is now able to directly tap into the vast expertise of a large number of Universities of Applied Sciences as well as other academic bodies globally.  These Universities are esteemed authorities and are well known for their automotive and environmental research (including research on emissions, carbon credits, fuel savings, etc.)

  • The purpose of this partnership is to take Naf-Tech to the next level regarding the roll the product also plays in climate control, both locally in the R.S.A. and Internationally in terms of greenhouse gas emissions.

  • In conjunction with S.A.T.T.P. and the Department of Science and Technology the first projects (including two projects for MTN) were registered as Research and Development programmes, carrying with it the additional benefit of a Governmental Tax Incentive Scheme

  • The Chairman of Naf-Tech has also (since November 2008) been co-opted as a member of the Sub-Committee for Diesel, Petrol and Petroleum Gasses of A.S.T.M International (The American Society for Testing and Materials) (The authority entrusted with setting International Petroleum standards for 53 Countries worldwide, including South Africa.)

  • Naf-Tech has recently been selected by The Department of Environmental Affairs to officially participate and showcase in The National Department of Environmental Affair's Magazine 2011. This special publication will showcase and focus on the Industry as a National Asset. The publication will also be handed over to the DEA for its use at conferences, exhibitions (both locally and International) and other briefings in that regard.
